Razumikhin and Krasovskii stability of impulsive stochastic delay systems via uniformly stable function method

    Get PDF
This paper generalizes Razumikhin-type theorem and Krasovskii stability theorem of impulsive stochastic delay systems. By proposing uniformly stable function (USF) in the form of impulse as a new tool, some properties about USF and some novel pth moment decay theorems are derived. Based on these new theorems, the stability theorems of impulsive stochastic linear delay system are acquired via the Razumikhin method and the Krasovskii method. The obtained results enhance the elasticity of the impulsive gain by comparing the previous results. Finally, numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of theoretical results

Food emergency dispatching method based on optimized fireworks algorithm

    Get PDF
In order to solve the problem of food emergency dispatching under emergencies, a food emergency dispatching method based on the optimal fireworks algorithm was proposed. The fitness function was used to measure the individual merits of fireworks, the tabu table was set to avoid the fireworks algorithm falling into the local optimal, and the tournament strategy was adopted as the iterative strategy of fireworks population. The goal of the fitness function is to maximize the satisfaction of demand points and minimize the vehicle travel time.In order to accurately predict the amount of food required at the point of demand, an infectious disease model (SEIR) was used.By comparing with the basic fireworks algorithm and genetic algorithm, the simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has higher computational efficiency and can be used in food emergency dispatching

Stability of reaction–diffusion systems with stochastic switching

oai:ojs.www4063.vu.lt:article/12877In this paper, we investigate the stability for reaction systems with stochastic switching. Two types of switched models are considered: (i) Markov switching and (ii) independent and identically distributed switching. By means of the ergodic property of Markov chain, Dynkin formula and Fubini theorem, together with the Lyapunov direct method, some sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure that the zero solution of reaction–diffusion systems with Markov switching is almost surely exponential stable or exponentially stable in the mean square. By using Theorem 7.3 in [R. Durrett, Probability: Theory and Examples, Duxbury Press, Belmont, CA, 2005], we also investigate the stability of reaction–diffusion systems with independent and identically distributed switching. Meanwhile, an example with simulations is provided to certify that the stochastic switching plays an essential role in the stability of systems

    The preprophase band-associated kinesin-14 OsKCH2 is a processive minus-end-directed microtubule motor.

In animals and fungi, cytoplasmic dynein is a processive minus-end-directed motor that plays dominant roles in various intracellular processes. In contrast, land plants lack cytoplasmic dynein but contain many minus-end-directed kinesin-14s. No plant kinesin-14 is known to produce processive motility as a homodimer. OsKCH2 is a plant-specific kinesin-14 with an N-terminal actin-binding domain and a central motor domain flanked by two predicted coiled-coils (CC1 and CC2). Here, we show that OsKCH2 specifically decorates preprophase band microtubules in vivo and transports actin filaments along microtubules in vitro. Importantly, OsKCH2 exhibits processive minus-end-directed motility on single microtubules as individual homodimers. We find that CC1, but not CC2, forms the coiled-coil to enable OsKCH2 dimerization. Instead, our results reveal that removing CC2 renders OsKCH2 a nonprocessive motor. Collectively, these results show that land plants have evolved unconventional kinesin-14 homodimers with inherent minus-end-directed processivity that may function to compensate for the loss of cytoplasmic dynein

A hybrid single-mode laser based on slotted silicon waveguides

An InGaAsP-Si hybrid single-mode laser based on etched slots in silicon waveguides was demonstrated operating at 1543 nm. The InGaAsP gain structure was bonded onto a patterned silicon-on-insulator wafer by selective area metal bonding method. The mode-selection mechanism based on a slotted silicon waveguide was applied, in which the parameters were designed using the simulation tool cavity modeling framework. The III-V lasers employed buried ridge stripe structure. The whole fabrication process only needs standard photolithography and inductively coupled plasma etching technology, which reduces cost for ease in technology transfer. At room temperature, a single mode of 1543-nm wavelength at a threshold current of 21 mA with a maximum output power of 1.9 mW in continuous-wave regime was obtained. The side mode suppression ratio was larger than 35 dB. The simplicity and flexibility of the fabrication process and a low cost make the slotted hybrid laser a promising light source

Abstract We report on a Q-switched Yb-doped all-fiber laser based on a solution-processed Ag nanoplates saturable absorber. Optical deposition procedure is implemented to transfer the Ag nanoplates onto the fiber core area through the thermal effect. The saturable absorber is sandwiched between two fiber connectors, providing simplicity, flexibility, and easy integration into the laser oscillator. The modulation depth and saturation incident fluence are measured to be ~5.8% and ~106.36 ÎĽJ/cm2 at 1-ÎĽm region, respectively. Self-started stable Q-switched operation is achieved for a threshold pump power of 180 mW. The repetition rates of the pulse trains range from 66.6 to 184.8 kHz when the pump power scales from 210 to 600 mW. The maximum average output power is 10.77 mW, corresponding to the single-pulse energy of 58.3 nJ and minimum pulse duration of ~1.01 ÎĽs. To the best of our knowledge, it is the first time that the Ag nanoplates saturable absorbers are utilized in the 1-ÎĽm Yb-doped Q-switched fiber laser

Joint Face Hallucination and Deblurring via Structure Generation and Detail Enhancement

We address the problem of restoring a high-resolution face image from a blurry low-resolution input. This problem is difficult as super-resolution and deblurring need to be tackled simultaneously. Moreover, existing algorithms cannot handle face images well as low-resolution face images do not have much texture which is especially critical for deblurring. In this paper, we propose an effective algorithm by utilizing the domain-specific knowledge of human faces to recover high-quality faces. We first propose a facial component guided deep Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) to restore a coarse face image, which is denoted as the base image where the facial component is automatically generated from the input face image. However, the CNN based method cannot handle image details well. We further develop a novel exemplar-based detail enhancement algorithm via facial component matching. Extensive experiments show that the proposed method outperforms the state-of-the-art algorithms both quantitatively and qualitatively.Comment: In IJCV 201
